Go Gently, Go Gently ~
Questions I am asking myself about love, beauty, curiosity and grief.
How can I be a vessel of prayer in a world that aches?
How can I hold love, gentleness, generosity?
How can I pin my heart to the sky and open more?
Where can I find gratitude for the small things?
Go gently, go gently, my mother would say.
I am the pendulum swinging,
and the still water waiting.
The ripple of life ever expanding.
My daughter is singing, and dancing, and talking -
too much beauty for a single breath.
Where are your altars, and how do they move you?
What dreams are asking to be traced inside you?
Go gently, go gently, by candlelight.
Those quiet ones are easily scared.
Ancient beings, bold and brightโ
hold them close with all your might.
How do you choose freedom today?
How will you find play?
Can your words be a sweet honey salve?
How can you go gently in grace?
